Our History
St. Suzanne School was built in 1950, with the church building following in 1961. The school operated for 52 years until 2002. The building then operated for a number of years as two charter schools, Detroit Community Schools and West Village Academy, then as Don Bosco Hall Community Resource Center. In July 2018, St. Suzanne/Our Lady Gate of Heaven Parish resumed direct management of the facility, and St. Suzanne Cody Rouge Community Resource Center came into being. One year later, in July 2019, the Center was certified as its own non-profit agency.
